Sarah Taibah is a Saudi actress, and filmmaker, born and raised in Jeddah. She’s the creator, writer, and lead actress in the successful dark comedy series Jameel Jiddan (2022). She also wrote and acted in the anthology pan-Arab series Nemra Etnen (2020), along with the biggest names in the SWANA region. Taibah co-wrote the film Hwjn (2023) which opened the Red Sea International Film Festival’s 3rd edition. She also acted in Mandoob El Lail (2023), which had its Arab premiere at the Red Sea International Film Festival the same year, and its international premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
It’s worth mentioning that Sarah starred in Roll’em, the first Saudi film that got screened in Saudi theatres when it first opened in 2018. Her acting portfolio includes titles such as VHS Tape Replaced (2023) and the Ramadan series, Sikkat Safar (2022).
Beyond the set, when Sarah’s not filming, she’s probably unleashing her creativity through illustrating. Taibah is a multifaceted artist who manages to transform her inner dialogues, which revolve around portraying Saudi women, into tangible results that she boldly shares with the mass audience.
