Neveen was born in 1979, she has graduated from the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University and then joined the Academy of Arts and Cinema Technologies (Raafat El Mihi) and has been teaching montage in the same academy and also taught workshops in Documentary Film making.
She has worked for a lot of international institutions and channels for directing documentaries such as Amnesty International in Netherlands, Dutch TV, Al Arabiya Channel, Al Jazeera News and Al Jazeera Documentary, Social Fund for Development, UN Women, UNDP and Alliance of Arab Women.
She has been selected to participate in the Camp of Talented Youth at 2008 in Berlin International Film Festival, the ‘Silent Killer’ Project about virus C in Egypt has been selected for discussion and development at EDN Institution for Documentaries in Denmark and got a workshop in cooperation with BBC, Al Arabiya Channel and French,German ART Channels. Also, got a chance to have a script writing workshop with the Oscar-winning Iranian Director Asghar Farhadi.
She has also directed more than 100 Documentaries ranging from short movies, long movies, news reports in addition to 3 short feature films
Neveen has won plenty of awards, on top of them:
Best Scenario award for ” Small Fish” film from French Cultural Center Festival at 2007.
Silver Award from Iran International Film Festival for Documentary Cinema for ” Me and The Agenda” film at 2011.
Honorary Award for best films documented for the 25th of Jan Revolution for ” Me and The Agenda” and “The Street for Us” films from Misr Film Association at 2012.
Best Editing and Scenario Award for ” The Statue” Film from Youssef Shahine Film Festival at 2011.
Jury Award for ” Me and The Agenda” Film from Alexandria International Film Festival at 2011.
Best Documentary award for ” Me and The Agenda” Film from Festival of Independent Cinema in Libya at 2013.
People Choice Award for Best Documentary from Guelmim International Documentary Festival at 2014.
Best Short Feature Film Award from New Delhim International Film Festival at 2014.
