With over 25 years of experience in the creative and design fields, Hisham stands out for his distinctive work in interior design and as one of the top production designers in the Middle East.
He has spearheaded the art direction for numerous high-profile projects, collaborating with both private and international brands.
In 2004, Hisham founded his own design company, Mental Flame. Driven by an unrelenting passion for supporting new talents, he launched Egypt’s first design community, the Cairo Design Award (CDA), in 2017, followed by the Cairo Design Week (CDW) in 2022. These events aim to encourage, promote, and reward Egyptian designers, establishing the largest design platform in Egypt and the Middle East, and drawing in renowned figures from various design categories.
Hisham is currently focused on integrating his various ventures under a single holding company, Mahdys Group®, with the ambition of creating the largest integrated creative group in the Middle East.
