Cathy Costain has been Head of Arts at the British Council since 2010, with responsibility for their arts partnerships and programmes across all art forms. From 2018-2020 she had oversight of the EU-funded Towards a Creative Economy Framework project, delivered on behalf of the EU National Institutes of Culture (EUNIC) in Egypt. She has lived in Egypt since 1986, and from 1994-2009 ran the British Council library in Agouza.
