Ahmed is an accomplished advertising and communications professional with 20 years of experience transforming marketing, e-commerce, and brand communications across the Middle East and Africa. Armed with a marketing degree from the American University in Cairo, Ahmed has held senior leadership roles at top global agencies—WPP, IPG, and Publicis—and led Marketing Communications and E-Commerce for powerhouse brands like Mondelez International and AXA in the MEA region.
After a full-circle journey through media, creative, commerce, and client-side leadership, Ahmed returns to the agency world as Head of Commerce and AI Champion at VML Cairo, blending cross-discipline insight with a restless drive for innovation.
Recognized for his trendspotting instincts and appetite for bold, disruptive ideas, Ahmed thrives on the thrill of doing what’s never been done before. He’s constantly on the hunt for innovative solutions that challenge convention and deliver measurable impact. While his work has earned both regional and global accolades, it’s the creative journey—and the pursuit of the next big breakthrough—that truly fuels his passion.
Outside the boardroom, Ahmed is a semi-professional masters swimmer, an adjunct professor of marketing and communications at The Creative School at Toronto Metropolitan University, and a lecturer and startup coach at the American University in Cairo.
