After graduating from AUC in 2008 with degrees in Journalism and Business Administration, I worked in PR and Digital Marketing for 8 years. With a great passion for food, I decided to take a risk and quit my job to join the Egyptian culinary institute (CTC) in 2016 and graduated with a degree as a certified chef in order to pursue my lifelong dream of building a food industry business from the ground up. Fortunate enough to find partners with different qualifications who share my passion for food, we all embarked on working on a concept which later evolved to its current form “Lokāli”, hoping to grow and partner with others who share our great passion for food and for clean, chemical free ingredients, a concept still alien to the Egyptian food industry yet growing to be of bigger concern for people. The goal is to turn Lokāli into a movement and take part in modernizing the Egyptian food industry and to help boost local farmers and encourage them to grow local, chemical free ingredients
