Most recently, it has been longlisted for the 2023 Diverse Book Awards.

Salma El-Wardany presents The Breakfast Show on BBC Radio London, Mon-Thur, as well as shows on BBC 5Live, BBC Radio 4, and BBC World Service. Her most recent documentary with World Service was The Real Lives of Doha’s Housewives in the run-up to the 2022 World Cup. Other notable documentaries include Breaking Our Silence (Radio 4) and Egypt’s #MeToo Moment (World Service).
In addition, Salma is a two-time TEDx speaker and a global keynote speaker. She has delivered talks, after dinner speeches, and hosted panels in the UK, Nigeria, Egypt, America, and Europe. She has also written for Stylist, HuffPost, Metro and The i.
Salma’s work centers on feminism and gender, revolving around female stories to bring the often ignored realities of women into the spotlight. She partners with global organisations and academic institutions to change the lives of women and girls.
