Abdallah Sallam is the President and CEO of Madinet Masr and a jury member on Shark Tank Egypt. A member of one of Egypt’s most prominent business families, Sallam brings more than 20 years of entrepreneurial and executive experience across multiple industries, including manufacturing, retail, media, technology, and real estate.
A self-described serial entrepreneur, Sallam has co-founded and managed several successful ventures throughout his career. Most notably, he founded and led Minka Real Estate Investment, a unique property innovator and developer with subsidiaries and interests spanning construction, consultancy, and renewable energy. In October 2021, Minka was acquired by Madinet Masr, one of Egypt’s leading and most influential urban developers, following which Sallam was appointed President and CEO. Since then, he has been leading the company’s transformation and growth strategy, building on its legacy as one of Egypt’s oldest and most established real estate developers with more than six decades of market presence.
Sallam is recognized for his innovative vision, strategic thinking, and expertise in business modeling and venture building. Beyond his executive role, he is actively involved in supporting entrepreneurship and startups through mentorship and voluntary consultancy initiatives. He also serves on several corporate, social, and educational boards, including Solarize Egypt, Minlo Trade & Manufacturing, Namaa Real Estate, Egyptian Food Bank, and the advisory boards of ESLSCA University and Korra Energi.
He holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from The American University in Cairo and has completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School, Kellogg School of Management, and Stanford University, with studies focused on consumer marketing, strategy, pricing, media, and design thinking.
