Yasmin Elayat

Yasmin is a creative technologist, interaction designer, and new media artist whose passion is at the intersection of arts and technology. Her work seeks to push the boundaries of immersive experiences, ranging from interactive installations for physical spaces, video installations, and interactive documentaries for the web. Yasmin is the Co-Creator of 18 Days In Egypt: A Participatory Interactive Documentary Project about the Egyptian Revolution. Yasmin is also the co-founder of GroupStream, a visual, group storytelling platform around shared experiences. Yasmin and her work have been featured in the books Startup Rising: The Entrepreneurial Revolution Remaking the Middle East by Christopher M. Schroeder (2013) and The Future of the Arab Spring: Civic Entrepreneurship in Politics, Art, and Technology Startups by Maryam Jamshidi (2013) as well as Good, Mashable, The Next Web, PSFK, Guardian, and The Atlantic among other publications. In 2014, Yasmin has been nominated as one of GOOD Magazine’s GOOD 100.
