Tarek has been with Starcom Mediavest Group since he graduated from The American University of Cairo in 2004. Starting as a junior media executive, it’s Tarek’s drive and ambition that has made him at 33 years old, Egypt’s youngest General Manager in the media industry. Tarek started his media career working on MARS group where he was responsible for the portfolios entire communication planning and buying. With his passion for numbers, and creative buying, Tarek grew to lead on the company’s buying unit. Managing budgets for the entire group, Tarek’s experience includes communication management on brands like Coca-Cola, Mercedes, Proctor and Gamble, Mondelez, Samsung to name a few. Growing the business’s profitability, and building efficiencies across the agency’s portfolio of clients, his talent to lead teams to drive superior results came naturally. Today Tarek is responsible for the entire group’s growth and product in Egypt and also sits on the regional management team.
