Currently based in Cairo, Shereen Shaheen is the External Communications, PR and CSR manager of PepsiCo. North East Africa Business Unit – a global food and beverage leader with net revenue of over $65 billion and a product portfolio that includes Quaker, Tropicana, Gatorade, Frito-Lay and Pepsi-Cola, to name a few.
Shereen has joined PepsiCo. in 2009 and during her position as the External Communications, PR and CSR manager, she held a temporary position as the Asia Middle East and Africa External communications , PR and CSR Senior Manager for 7 months where she was based in Dubai.
Prior to joining PepsiCo, Shereen spent 2 years in Etisalat Telecom holding several communications and commercial positions. Before that, she was the Internal Communications Manager for Vodafone Egypt from 2004 to 2007. Shereen has a strong experience in the NGO sector and international Organizations and humanitarian sector in Egypt where she worked for the World Bank, Dutch Fund and Social Research Center for the American University in Cairo holding several sustainability and development posts to build a strategy and development plans in cooperation with the government and private sector.
She started off in the marketing and social research field holding qualitative and quantitative research position with ACNielsen .
Shereen graduated from The American University in Cairo in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications and political sciences. She also earned her masters degree from the American University in Cairo in CSR Professional Development in 2012.
Shereen is a part time professor in Misr International University and gives CSR lectures in public and private universities.
Shereen has varied interests including reading, Playing the guitar, humanitarian relief, yoga and spending time with her family.
