Rawia Al Shater currently heads the role of Strategy & New Initiatives at Future Telecommunications and Media Group, with a specific focus on the CBC network – where she is also a member of the Content Committee.
She has been working in the field of media for 18 years where she started he career in advertising in Leo Burnett for 7 years. She moved to the TV industry eleven years ago where she worked with various broadcasters handling marketing, research, branding, and project management for key content. Her experience across the years has allowed her to develop a deep understanding of the business aspect of the TV industry in Egypt – specifically content production and development, acquisition and commissioning, and the commercial aspect of the industry.
Rawia has a Bachelor and a Masters Degree in Political Science from the American University in Cairo and a second Masters Degree in Media Management from the University of Westminster, London. Noteworthy to mention, that she was one of the first recruits at CBC and a member of a team of professionals that launched the network back in July 2011.
