Mohamed Hamza

Mohamed Hamza is the manager of Banque Misr’s open innovation program. Hamza is working with the bank towards building a wholistic innovation platform enabling deeper integration with external innovative companies and individuals; the open innovation program offers venture building, venture acceleration, and venture investments. Hamza has 10 years of experience in innovation led enterprise support, launch and growth.

Prior to joining Banque Misr Mohamed Hamza worked as the associate director of the American University in Cairo’s business accelerator, the AUC Venture Lab (V-Lab). During that time Hamza cofounded the first FinTech Accelerator in Egypt (in partnership with CIB and IFC), as well as AUC Angels circle. Through his work he supported the launch, growth and fundraising of 200+ startups in multiple industries among which were FinTech, E-commerce (in partnership with AAIB), HealthTech, and GreenTech (in partnership with Shell Egypt).
