Mohamed Hammady started his advertising career at Leo Burnett in 2006. He moved there after graduating from the American University in Cairo as a political science graduate. He was hired as a Copywriter to work on Melody TV Channel, Mobinil (Orange), P&G and Hienz. After five years, he moved to FP7 Cairo/McCANN to work as an Associate Creative Director on Coca Cola Co, McDonalds. He spent almost a year at FP7 Cairo before joining JWT Cairo to work on Vodafone, Nestle, DANONE, Mondelez and Egyptian Tourism Ministry (ETA). Between his 6 years at JWT he went as Partner to KTP for few months working on Etisalat, Al Ahram Beverage. He became the Creative Director of Cairo office in 2012, and the Executive Creative Director in Jan 2015. JWT Cairo took agency of the year by Campaign Middle East in 2015. Now he partnered with WPP in GLU, a new agency that provides creative content and intellectual property ownership in the Middle East. Along the way, Hammady has picked up three Cannes Lions (two Silvers and one Bronze) a graphite D&AD Pencil in addition to One Grand Prix, 9 Golds with some Silvers and Bronze at Dubai Lynx where he also grabbed one grand prix and one gold in creative effectiveness. Adding to this two Golds and a Silver at Epica, two silvers in New York Film awards and a silver in both Global Effies and London Advertising Festival awards. And gold and silver in Effies MEA.
