Mohamed El Mehairy has been playing an integral role in evolving the digital advertising industry in MENA, and he is regarded as a renowned regional business leader for his many industry contributions and milestones over the past decade.
El Mehairy embraced the cause of digital marketing when it was in its infancy in the early 2000s. He was only armed, back then, with the power of his own conviction, engaging with clients and brands, and promoting digital advertising solutions in MENA.
Today, with proven experience in working the build-up strategies for Connect Ads, El Mehairy had managed to set in place, some integral milestones that promised to reshape the digital media industry in MENA, and it has not fallen any short since.
El Mehairy was appointed as the Managing Director for Connect Ads in 2008, and it was a pivotal year for the region’s digital landscape to finally pave path and welcome iconic digital platforms, and connect them with MENAs top brands, marketers and advertisers.
In his capacity as Connect Ads Managing Director, El Mehairy had early on been successful to acquire exclusive partnerships with global and regional digital platforms, partnering up with Facebook and Twitter on an exclusive regional basis, and then onwards to partner with Linkedin, Shazam, Yahoo, and TubeMogul.
His belief in digital media and advertising innovations goes beyond the day to day interactions and advertising placements. At the early stage for the medium, he could see how digital and interactive media can strongly impact business results. Being a part of Connect Ads’ start up in 2000, El Mehairy has worked with top brands such as P&G, Unilever, BMW, Coca Cola, HSBC, Vodafone and many more, with the sole duty of promoting the new waves and core basics of online advertising in the region, back at a time when this was uncharted territory.
