After 4 years of working with non-profits and education corporations in Washington, DC while completing her Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Gender & Sexuality Studies, Mariam Aziz returned to Egypt to manage SOY Association for Environmental Service’s Bill Gates Foundation project to improve the livelihoods of the Zabaleen communities. With experience working with women and youth that ranges from the villages of Haiti and Ghana to delivering Amnesty International’s 50th Youth Summit’s Keynote speech, Mariam’s passion for every human’s right to quality education led her to make the move to work with INJAZ Egypt to empower Egyptian youth through creative education (INJAZ Egypt is a Member Nation of Junior Achievement Worldwide, the oldest and largest organization working on entrepreneurial and business education). Mariam currently manages INJAZ’s Education department, developing curricula and programs for youth, as well as recruiting and training over 600 volunteers annually to mentor students.
