Amal Al Homosany is a communication professional that has spent the last 10 years helping shape communication strategies that have a real implication on driving business value to clients. She has been part of global agency networks since she graduated in 2006 and has diverse experience across all different disciplines of planning, insights and strategy, and has developed a special interest in digital media and believes it is integral part of all communication activities.
After graduation from the American University in Cairo in 2006 she has kick-started her career in media by joining UM where she stayed till 2011 working on clients such as L’Oreal, Mondelez, Ahram Beverages, MasterCard, just to name a few.
Being an early adopter and believer in digital she joined Digital Republic and has supported in the restructuring of the digital media department and the elevation of the offering to become more strategic and data centric. She looked after a wide portfolio of clients including Mobinil, Coca-Cola, Unliever, Danone, GM, and many others.
A new challenging opportunity for Amal was joining the Dentsu Aegis Network in 2012 and has supported launching Carat to the Egypt market; her key responsibilities included setting up the operation, growing the client portfolio, and ensuring a solid offering in the Egypt market. Amal has left Carat end of 2015 with a team of 20 media professionals and a IPSOS-Statex ranking within the top 10 agencies in Egypt.
Joining Initiative Media in 2016 is a thrilling opportunity for Amal and a new milestone in her career and a chance work with a team renowned for their great commitment and offering that is amongst the best on the market.
She loves her job in media because it is a very dynamic field and is very interdisciplinary touching base with all marketing efforts and away from the office she has special interest in performance arts and loves attending independent theatre productions and sometimes is under the limelight in small acting roles. Amal is also currently enrolled in the Executive MBA program by Edinburgh Business School and is expected to graduate in Fall 2016 with a specialization in Strategic Planning.
