Ossama carries more than 23 years of experience in the Telecom, Internet, & IT industries. He is currently an entrepreneur working on a startup in the mobile applications space. Before that, Ossama has been with the TE Group for 14 years. He was Chairman & Managing Director of TE data, where he participated in taking the company from 100 to 3.5K employees, 10K to 3.5M customers, EGP 40M to EGP 3.7B revenue, and market leadership position with a 76% market share. Ossama was also VP & CCO of TE, where he managed to turn-around the company’s 5 year declining fixed line revenues into double digit growth per year from 2013-2017. Ossama also assumed the roles of Chairman of TE data Jordan, Chairman of Xceed Contact Center, Vice Chairman of Technology Development Fund.
Before that, Ossama co-founded Site Information Consultancy, an Internet application development company in 1998, that was later on acquired by Pyramid Technology, where he worked as the ISP Operation Manager until 2003. Ossama also joined InTouch Communications Services in 1996 as a Systems Engineer, where he participated in building the infrastructure of the first Internet Service Provider in Egypt and later on became the Operations Manager. Earlier in his career, Ossama worked at IBM Egypt as a software engineer.
Ossama has been a member of the Broadband 100 VIP Community, part of the Broadband World Forum, and has been on the judging panel of the Broadband World Awards 2015 & 2016. Ossama holds a B.Sc. degree with a major in Computer Science and a Minor in Electronics from The American University in Cairo.
