Ahmad Ehab Abdelwareth

Ahmad Ehab Abdelwareth is a filmmaker who graduated from the Film Department at the American University in Cairo. He is the writer of “This is My Night” (2019), directed by Yusef Noaman – which participated in numerous festivals including Clermont-Ferrand, GFF, Malmo, and Montreal and won several awards including the Best Film Award at the International Oriental Film Festival of Geneva, the Egyptian National Film Festival and the Jordan International Film Festival. Abdelwareth has written several feature film screenplays including: “On the Desert Road” –which participated in Rawi Screenwriter’s Lab in Jordan, “The Deer that Ran Away”–shortlisted for the Sawiris Cultural Award, and “The Joys and Sorrows of Wadea’s Girls”- winner of best screenplay at the Sawiris Cultural Award. He has worked both as a writer and producer for his latest short film “Tell No One” (2024), directed by: Amr ElSeyoufi – which won the Jury Award at the Cairo Short Film Festival. Abdelwareth is currently working on several film and series projects as a full-time screenwriter at Sard Writers Room as well as a mentor for aspiring screenwriters across the region.
