Waleed Arafa is an Egyptian architect, founder of Dar Arafa Architecture, known for projects in Egypt and worldwide, like Basuna Mosque, Sohag and La Maison d’Egypte, Paris.
He holds a B.Sc. in Architecture, Urban Design and Planning, Ain Shams University, Egypt, a post-graduate degree in the Conservation of Historical Buildings, AA School of Architecture, London, UK and is currently an MA researcher in the History of Islamic Art & Architecture, AUC. Waleed scooped many international awards including three Aga Khan Award nominations. He lectures in universities and conventions worldwide and is a jury member in many international awards and competitions.
