Alaa El-Hadidy is a Cairo-based type designer and creative professional with a degree in Arabic Type Design from the German University in Cairo. He co-founded the type foundry Hassen Khattak with Amr Bakr, releasing AlDonya, Moreeh, and Palestine typefaces. His multidisciplinary work spans graphic design, motion design, music production, and creative copywriting, with experience at advertising agencies such as People of the Internet and KAIRO for Ideas, and design studios including Sharaf Studio and Mutlaq Studio. Currently working at Wetheloft, he focuses on visual identity and editorial design. Alaa has also led lettering workshops with Sync School, Saad Studio, Werash Al Khatt, and Coventry University in Egypt (The Knowledge Hub), and directed the short film Every Problem Has a Solution, screened in Zawya Cinema in Cairo and France.
