Lena Al-Ghadban

Lena started her career as a broadcast journalist in 1996. She worked with Egyptian TV channel Nile TV as a reporter, news editor and reader, and show host. And in 1997 joined the European service of Radio Cairo hosting two shows, the Monday “World Watch” and “Movie Box”.
In 2000 Al Ghadban pursued her masters at the Adham center for TV journalism at AUC. During this time she contributed as a video journalist to CNBC’s “Middle East business report”.

In 2002, Al Ghadban left Nile TV to join Al Jazeera as a news correspondent based in Egypt. From 2002- 2009 Al Ghadban covered events including the Sinai bombings of 2004, the presidential and parliamentary elections of 2005, the nation wide anti US demonstrations following the 2003 invasion of Iraq, in addition to several anti regime demonstrations in 2005/2006, numerous Arab and International Summits and the 2009 Gaza war from the Egyptian borders.

That same year Al Ghadban resigned from Al Jazeera, and later in 2009 joined the part time faculty of AUC teaching TV journalism to graduate and undergraduate students.

In 2012, Al Ghadban started work on an investigative show co produced by Belail private production company and ON TV.  She hosted and co reported the show that ran for two seasons on ON TV.

During the past 10 years she has been involved in media training.
