Rana Khalil

Rana Khalil is labeled as the youngest female producer by the media. But in reality, she views her story as a journey born a fighter, at first she had nothing, all she had was a dream, and some talent not knowing what to do. She fought the world on the hope of making it one day. But with ought direction and knowledge she believes should have never made it to where she is today. Studying the various aspects of film making, such as editing, directing, and acting, she found that her passion was directed towards the managerial position, a position was there is no direct university major that teaches you how to be part of. Production, her one, and only passion. Deciding to take her passion to the field and started working on various Egyptian based projects in order to understand, and comprehend what production truly is, and what the roles of the producer are. Today she stands as the founder and CEO of R.K. Works a production house that focuses on combating cultural imperialism through the production of short films.

Ms. Khalil was able threw a very short time to change the media placement of short movies, by grasping the attention of international media, corporate and nongovernmental organizations to be part of her work. R.K. Works has finished one movie “The Mirror Short Film” which was able to accomplish more than 270 media articles on the national and international level, and more than twenty TV interviews discussing “The Mirror Short Film”.

Currently working on their second film R.K. Works believes that cultural imperialism is a major problem which needs to be discussed and solved through the creation of media content which is truly a soldier in the army of fighting cultural imperialism.
