Radio 2.0: Where is the Future of Sound Broadcasting Headed?

Track: Media & Music

Podcasts are the future. Or was the audio-sharing app, “Clubhouse”, the future of sound broadcasting? Remember Clubhouse …? It seems like there is an unannounced contest rushing people to predict the death of radio. And yet it’s still here.

But, where is it headed?

Engaging with presenters through participating in competitions, calling in for a chat, or requesting a song dedicated to your lover is still pretty unique to radio

And no matter how smart the algorithms of music streaming apps are, will they truly replace the human tastemaker scheduling music for our commutes?

It’s still unclear. But the Creative Industry Summit has just the right person to guide the discussion: Rob Stevens, the adored Nile Radio Productions (NRP) Presenter, and Station and Music Scheduler.

As digital transformation unfolds, how is NRP maintaining its position as a market leader? How is web radio working out for them? And what was the impact of venturing into radio apps and creating social content for the new generation?
If you want to learn more about where radio is headed, then you must tune in to the Annual Festival’s Radio 2.0 Talk with Rob!
