It was back in 1995 when Ahmed Hafez Younis – AKA Fizo – was hanging from the ceiling of some rich folks; house, painting fake acrylic clouds, when he suddenly realized that“Trompe-l’œil” never fooled anyone.
With this eye-opening lesson in mind, Fizo nailed a BA in Art Direction from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo to his wall, and jumped right on the roller coaster that is the creative industry.
From local agencies to heavy weight ones, Fizo has left his mark on some of the Middle East biggest names. He co-founded the internationally-acclaimed FC studio, joined Cairo Elephant – the 1st (and by far the coolest) creative hub/independent agency in Egypt, and became the Executive Creative Director and a key pillar in FP7 Cairo/ McANN world group and head of McANN Creative leadership Council for Middle East and Africa, All the while, he managed to orchestrate a plethora of award-winning campaigns for the likes of Coca-Cola, Nestle, Mini Cooper, Fanta, McDonald’s and Orange.
In 2017, Fizo made a huge career shift by joining the tech giant Facebook as Head of the Creative Shop for Middle East and North Africa.
His extensive collection of work has been awarded by every major awards organization crowned in 2017 with a Grand Prix in the LIA, as well as a Gold Lion in Cyber. Previous wins include Cannes Lions, D&AD, Andy’s, The One Show, CLIO, MENA Effies, Crystals,Warc, and Dubai Lynx.
Fizo, is ranked as one of the top 10 Creative leaders in the Middle East and North Africa in 2017 in the B&W report.
